Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a skilled PCBA Technician to join their client's team in California. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the assembly and maintenance of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) using a variety of technologies. This position offers a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble printed circuit board assemblies using through-hole, SMT, and mixed-technology components.
- Perform hand soldering, rework, and repair to IPC standards.
- Operate and maintain assembly equipment, including pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, wave solder, AOI, and X-ray as applicable.
- Read and interpret schematics, bill of materials (BOMs), work instructions, and assembly drawings.
- Conduct visual inspections and functional tests to verify product quality.
- Troubleshoot assembly issues and identify root causes of defects.
- Document work performed, inspections, rework, and test results.
- Follow ESD, safety, and cleanroom procedures as required.
- Support continuous improvement activities and process optimization.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to resolve production issues.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in PCB or electronic assembly (experience level may vary by role).
- Proficiency in hand soldering and desoldering techniques.
- Ability to read and understand schematics and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721 preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Hours
Monday through Friday, 1st shift.
Benefits
